The Victory Parade took place in Kiev, Ukraine on May 9, 2010 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Commanding the parade was the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Gennady Vorobyov. Inspecting the parade was the Chief of General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ivan Svyda. Delivering the address was the President of Ukraine, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Viktor Yanukovych. More than 2,500 thousand members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other military units took part in the parade. Troops from Russia and Belarus also took part in the parade. Musical accompaniment by 17 military orchestras under the guidance of the Chief of the Military Music Department of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, People's Artist of Ukraine, Major General Volodymyr Derkach.
