Job searching can be a stressful time. If you are a fresh graduate the tips in this video should help you get started on a successful job search. 😊

In this video, I share a 5-step job searching process with you that works beautifully in case of startups or small companies.

As a general rule, the quality of your applications will matter more than the quantity. If you do in-depth research on companies you’d like to work for, about 20 applications per month should get you a job within a reasonable amount of time. (So don’t make the mistake of thinking that if you apply for fewer jobs than your peers than you’re not doing enough.)

The process I suggest you follow is this:

1. Get your application material in order (CV, LinkedIn profile, Portfolio, Recommendations)
2. Find companies you want to work for (startups or small companies)
3. Do some research on those companies
What are some of their recent accomplishments?
Recent plans?
Recent publication
Have they been featured in media?
What do they say in their blog?
4. Contact ppl from the companies you like (it’s fine to contact several people, it doesn’t necessarily have to be an HR manager; if you’re interested in the marketing department find someone from there for example)
Mention something concrete in your inquiry
Show your interest
Find something in common
5. Follow up

Keep your chin up high, be persistent, and consistent and I know you will find a job that’s perfect for you at this time! 😉🤩
