ASICS just dropped two completely new running shoes: the Sonicblast, a snappy, plated sneaker made for fast workouts; and the Megablast, a comfy and responsive long running shoe that feels like a super shoe, minus the carbon plate. Like many of you, senior editor Alex Cyr was curious about how these pairs compare to other ASICS shoes, which one of the two is the better purchase, and whether or not they are worth adding to his rotation. Here, Alex takes you through a week of half-marathon training, where he tests both shoes on long runs and hill workouts, to help you decide if the Megablast and Sonicblast are right for you.
