This is my top ten list of my favorite Hammer Gothic Horror films. As always this was extremely difficult to narrow down. Hammer made many great films and many great non horror titles so I specifically focused on their most famous gothic horrors. Every film discussed was directed by the great Terence Fisher who was really the key director for the company and is one of the three greatest directors of the horror genre. (I’d argue the three are James Whale, Fisher and Jacques Tourneur.)
I also discuss each film’s video history and the best available versions on disc in 2021.
