California is mostly known for its overnighters and long hikes, but Yuba Gap, a short, campground-to-campground run, is one of the highest quality runs in the state. 5 miles of stout, clean whitewater with a 2 mile boogie paddle out and a few massive rapids makes this epic section of the South Yuba one of my favorites of all time.
