UK Model 2003-2009 Subaru Legacy rear door lock would not open from the inside or outside. There are other videos on YouTube that explain how to remove the interior trim panel and the door handle, but none I could find that cover the door locks used on the UK market Subaru Legacy.

Tools needed for this job were:
1. A crosshead screwdriver to remove the door panel screws and undo part of the door lock protective covers
2. A long-handled flat blade screwdriver to release the sticking lock mechanism; and
3. A 10mm spanner or 3/8" drive socket to remove the door handle.
