Hosted by Brian Lawson from Projex Solutions Ltd and delivered by Daniel Wells from Spirax Sarco UK and Ireland, this lecture looks into the causes of poor quality steam; steam contamination and how to identify/protect the process from this; correct system design; standards such as BSEN285 and EC1935-2004; filtered steam; clean steam; clean steam trapping and condensate return; food-safe water treatment; how to identify and solve common problems wherever steam is used directly for F&B or Pharma purposes; why steam should be considered an ingredient; and steam quality testing.
These online webinars were presented in partnership with The University of Huddersfield and IMechE.
