In response to the massive floods in parts of Punjab, the Indian Army has deployed Army Aviation Helicopters for flood relief and rescue operations under its #HADR (Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief) efforts.

On 27 August 2025, around 4 PM, a daredevil rescue mission was launched in the general area of Lassian, Gurdaspur, Punjab, where rising floodwaters threatened lives.

🔹 3 Cheetah helicopters of the Army Aviation Unit carried out multiple high-risk shuttles in extreme flying conditions.
🔹 Their heroic and timely action ensured the safe evacuation of 27 stranded citizens.
🔹 This operation reflects the selfless commitment, courage, and extraordinary flying skills of the Indian Army Aviation.

The Indian Army continues to stand by the nation, providing all possible assistance and support to ensure the safety of citizens during this time of crisis.
