Looking back at a John Deere model 9610 combine "straight cutting" a field of badly lodged oats - and doing a really good job of reclaiming almost all of it.
This past fall there were a number of oat fields that suffered a similar fait as this one.
This shows just one of the struggled that producers have in a "normal" harvest.
