The Goel Ganga Group has strongly countered allegations made by the Beg family during a recent press conference, stating through its advocate that the claims of unpaid compensation and a proposed hunger strike are misleading and contrary to facts already placed before the courts. The developer maintains that extensive correspondence regarding flats and development agreements has been submitted in multiple ongoing cases, including Civil Suit No. 794/2021, in which the Beg family has sought cancellation of development agreements executed in 2006 rather than compensation. The advocate clarified that if compensation were the real issue, a suit for specific performance would have been filed, which has not been done. The group has also denied allegations of violating court orders or selling restricted flats, asserting that no such sales are taking place and that current construction is unrelated to the disputed units. Terming the press conference an attempt to mislead the public and defame a reputed Pune-based developer while the matter is sub judice, the Goel Ganga Group has requested Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar to take appropriate action in the matter.
