In this video, I take on the challenge of recreating a Rebelion-style Zaagkick from scratch.

You’ll hear two kicks and try to guess which one is the original and which one is the rebuild.

No samples, no shortcuts — everything is designed inside Serum 2.

I walk you through the full kick-building process:
Creating the low-end base
Designing the crunch layer
Using envelopes correctly for consistent punch
Shaping the kick with distortion, compression, and EQ
Polishing the sound until it's finished.

At the end, I compare the rebuild with the original and show how close you can actually get when you understand what you’re doing.
