In the third round of the 2018 John Deere Classic, Harold Varner III rose up the leaderboard by five spots and recorded six birdies before the horn sounded to end play just before his last hole.

The John Deere classic returns to TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. In 2017, Bryson DeChambeau won his his first PGA TOUR title, finishing one shot ahead of Patrick Rodgers.
