Zenair CH 601 UL Microlight landing at Rochester EGTO

Landing G-ZODY, our Zenair CH 601 UL microlight at Rochester EGTO airfield in Kent.

Conditions were hot (30 degrees) but relatively calm with a light x-wind under 5 knots.

Approaching from the North-West to join downwind left-hand for 02R.

Overall, an ok landing - not one of my best but not too shabby either - a little bounce on landing, but more caused by the undulating surface as evidenced by the bumpy ride on the rollout!

In reality, the surface is a bit smoother than the video suggests; the CH 601 UL has quite springy gear (bungee undercarriage) which exaggerates the surface effect.

This video followed a fantastic flight from Rochester down to Hastings over the South Coast, returning via Ashford.

Weather was very hot (30 degrees) with a light x-wind from the left.
