walt & jesse — pulling the puzzles apart

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR 5x16 'FELINA'!

Oh, man, guys.

That finale absolutely destroyed me in the best way possible. I was so glad Walt finally admitted to his selfish intentions and went out making things right. And I can't even tell you how HAPPY I am that Jesse is free and safe, out from under Walt's thumb and his own hellish torture.

But as happy as I am that everyone got what they truly deserved, I am irreparably broken about the state that Walt and Jesse's relationship ended in. I am heartbroken that things went so fucking wrong between them even if in the end, there was a small acknowledgement of regret and reconciliation when Walt saved Jesse and let him go off. That nod and stare they shared at the end never fails to undo me and jfc it was just... it was one hell of a sendoff, and I couldn't be happier (yet sad!) with how it ended.

I think I'm just going to forever being in a state of mourning for this relationship, though. They were father/son a lot of the time, but it was such a twisted, abusive and possessive relationship, even with the bond and gentleness there that sometimes existed. They were enemies, they were friends, they were partners -- everything in between. I don't like to say I actively ship Walt/Jesse. The relationship is so much more complex than that. It could never be overly cute, but there are just times that you see how much they care about one another that it's like a stake to the heart seeing it all just fall apart.

Basically, I just wanted to convey that in this vid. How things went so wrong, got so bad. I apologize if some of the audio cuts are bad; I had to work on this with headphones the majority of the time and they have a short. Not to mention my Vegas kept messing up on the audio parts creating a stutter and the background noise is hard to get rid of (those damn crickets, ugh). I still hope this turned out okay, though!
