Clay Trinket Dish Tutorial | Learn TWO Methods in Under Four Minutes!

In this 4 minute tutorial, we will teach you TWO different methods for hand building your own clay trinket dishes. Both methods are 100% beginner friendly and make for an uber cute homemade piece that you can air dry or get fired in a kiln.

All you need to get started:
Clay
Pottery Tools (or kitchen cutlery)
A bowl or cup of water for your fingers
A rolling pin (a glass jar or anything of this shape will work too for rolling your clay into a slab)
A cutting board to contain a bit of mess is optional!

After your new piece is all done...

You can air dry it for 48 hours, then paint with acrylic paint for a decorative piece OR
Take it to a local kiln to be fired for an ahhhmazing waterproof and food-safe creation (after 7-10 days of drying).

Hot tip! Carve your initials or a signature into the bottom of your piece so it can be identified as YOURS (especially if you’re takin it to a kiln).
