WE'VE BEEN WAITING! S.E. Shires Alessi Custom Tenor Trombone Review

Since the announcement last fall of Joseph Alessi's move to S.E. Shires I have been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to try his new models. While I have been able to put hands on the TBQALESSI Q series tenor (check out my review at    • S.E. Shires Alessi model Q Series Tro...  ) I haven't had the chance to play his custom model; that is until now! After the first playthough this is definitely an instrument worth waiting for; it has a unique combination of weight and color to the sound, a perfect classical attack and the evenness of response Shires trombones are known, not to mention a gorgeous upper register and wonderfully full and responsive lower register.
