Panasonic Lumix FZ20 in 2024

Another old super zoom! The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 (2004) is one of many super zooms that arrived suddenly at my local tip and thrift shops last year. So I have a fair few. This is a good one. Being a Panasonic, it has a Leica-branded DC Vario-Elmarit zoom with 12x optical range (36-432mm equiv) and a constant F2.8 aperture. It has excellent image stabilisation. I really like the lens, it’s big, astonishing really. It weighs 556 g (1.23 lb). There’s no raw, so it's not perfect but It does use SD cards, up to 2GBs. At just 5MPs, it does a great job, so well done Panasonic. Super zoom cameras give such a variety of point of views. I’m convinced they make impossible photos possible.
