Enjoying the finer things in life, appreciating cuisines and wines definitely comes more naturally with age as your pallet adopts more tastes and appreciation for food. Exhibit A evidence in point of kids when it's anything other than chicken nuggets and chips! Amelia was banging on all holiday - even before holiday how she saw that they eat snails in France and was waiting so long till we got here to try them - well I don't think it lived up to her expectations! At least she tried I'll give her that. They weren't bad at all it's just the texture and the psychology of knowing what your eating being out of your norm. Apparently they weren't normal style they were 'south France' style which is different, seasoned and with lard so there was flavour to them. Nathan was appalled and his reaction tells the same, his inquisitive little face turning to fear in the background shot haha. Safe to say he didn't try them but well done Amelia for trying new things - it's usually hard to convince kids to try stuff. This was a lovely little campsite with a villagey vibe tucked away in the hills but the atmosphere was buzzing or maybe it was just the wine! We treated ourselves to a family private rented hot tub after which the kids loved. I'm lost watching the footage what day it was should have written a diary but our videos are our diary. So I think that's the snails parked for Amelia for now or at least until she gets taken to Paris by prince charming when she's about 35 and Dad let's her date haha
