Roy Williamson Remembered - 2015

12th August 2015 marks the 25th anniversary of the death of the wonderful Scottish folk singer, musician and songwriter Roy Williamson, of brain cancer. Roy's recordings and appearances with The Corries and prior to that The Corrie Folk Trio With Paddie Bell mesmerised millions. In tribute to Scotland's "favourite son," I have made a slideshow of his recording of Bothwell Castle with The Corries, complementing it with comments that can be found on many YouTube videos and on other social media sites such as Facebook, Google+ or Mudcat. The photos are all mine. I visited the castle ruin with iPod and camera in hand in August 2014. I hope you enjoy.
