How to Install a Battery Isolator EASY SIMPLE & CHEAP

Installing a simple battery post cut off isolator switch with my review. I’ve installed this switch on a 1947 Riley RMA.

WARNING!!! NEVER connect your automotive battery disconnect switch to the POSITIVE terminal of your battery. This can be very dangerous. (This applies to Negative earth vehicles. Some older vehicle, pre 1970s may be Positive earth. In this instance the isolator would be installed on the Positive terminal)

125A CONTINUOUS
CRANK RATE 500A
FITS 6V, 12V & 24V BATTERIES

My review:

Pros

~ Simple economical way of isolating a battery
~ Very easy to install with no special tools required
~ Quick to install
~ Felt confident enough to install on my classic car

Cons

~ No substitute for a key switch type isolator. But they are much more difficult to install.
~ Personally I would want something a bit heavier for a 24v system installed on a truck. But for cars they seem up to the job.
