STORYLINE:
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken went for a walk around Kyiv with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Tuesday.

The top U.S. diplomat made an unannounced visit to the Ukrainian capital to reassure an ally facing a fierce new Russian offensive.

The walkabout followed a working lunch at a well-known Kyiv pizzeria.

After lunch, Blinken walked through the Maidan square to a coffee shop, where he met civil society members.

He stopped briefly in front of a display of flags commemorating those killed.
