This Trail Is a Soul CRUSHER... || Split Rock Wilds

Split Rock Wilds is another new trail system added to the ever growing list of northern Minnesota trails. Let me first go by saying in my opinion this may be the most challenging system of trails in Minnesota. I am right or am I completely missing another trail that this competes with? Not only is it the difficulty factor, the rock work or the natural beauty this trail system is a unique one. I am a sucker for the north shore of Minnesota and when these types of trails are getting built man... do I get pumped! There's a debate on which direction is the best way to ride this system, to be completely honest as far as the trail Fade to Blue I think its best to start from north to south. Then when you ride north to south you end up going the wrong way up the trail Wellworth it, this trail practically was built to be ridden south to north...see where I am going? The trail system design almost wants you to ride both ways at times. For my ride I did an out and back and this was plenty of riding for me this day. The rock garden filled trails of Neovison, Wellworth it, and Fade to Blue made for one heck of a physically demanding ride. While riding out here I thought to my self "do I really want to ride these trails again?" and my answer to myself was yes, I don't feel its fair to give a final verdict of what I think about this trail system just yet. I need to ride the entire system to get a better feel and figure out, what is the best route for this system?
