Описание к видео 10,500 (Pen House 1) ISA Brown Layers EGG PRODUCTION RATE At Week 23

Maximizing Egg Production in Poultry Farming: Our ISA Brown Layer Journey with Big Dutchman Equipment. Join us as we show you our journey with our ISA Brown layers in our battery cage system, equipped with Big Dutchman poultry equipment. We share our experience with transitioning from grower complete chicken feed to pre-layer chicken feed, achieving optimum weight uniformity, and changing to layer phase 1 complete feed. We also showcase our poultry-specific LEDs and our 16-hour light protocol. Don't miss our egg production rate and weight trajectory. Learn valuable tips and tricks for managing sexual maturity and ensuring maximum egg production in your poultry farming venture.

Our Poultry Farm Construction remains ongoing, we decided to proceed in stocking the first Pen House with 10,500 ISA Brown Chickens / Layers on July 15, 2022. We stocked at 14 weeks due to construction delays. Our flock are now 23 weeks of age. As you can see, this is a battery cage system. We are using big dutchman poultry equipment.

In this poultry farming video we showed:
1. Our ISA BROWN Egg production rate
2. The Weight Trajectory
3. Our Poultry Specific LEDs in use at night

To maximize commercial egg production in poultry farming, we transitioned from Grower complete chicken feed to Prelayer Chicken feed when our average weight was 1.3kg; Uniformity of 80%; and Chickens were above 15 weeks of age. In our previous videos, we emphasized that when changing from one feed to another, it is important to do so gradually. When transitioning from one feed to another, begin with 80% of current ration and 20% of new ration. Gradually increase the amount of new ration vs the old each day until the old feed is totally replaced. This minimizes disruption as chickens feed based on sight. If you notice the flocks going off feed at any point in the transition process, take an extra day or two and slow the transition down. The transition can last from 7 to 10 days.

When commercial layers are 12 weeks until commencement of egg production, change of poultry feed is based on body weight. This is because Pullet body weight at onset of laying is the main factor that influences egg weight and the best predictor of future laying performance. Given that we did not receive our ISA Brown Point of Layers or Point of Cages until 14 weeks, we prioritized achieving the optimum weight uniformity by 16 or 18 weeks of age. Usually, when flock uniformity is high at 16 weeks of age, egg production is higher, and mortality is lower after 55 – 60 weeks of age.

Once our egg production began, we continued Pre-layer complete feed until we achieved about 10% production, before switching to Layer Phase 1 complete feed. Our current ISA BROWN EGG production rate as shown in the video is 33%

We also began increasing the light duration for Natural Day Light to a 16-hour light protocol. We are adding 1 hour per week until 16 hours total light is achieved. We are using Poultry Specific LEDs for our lightening. We are currently at 14 hours of light.

Our open house system is a difficult system for controlling sexual maturity. The natural day length at which the pullets will be exposed to at 19 weeks of age will guide he light. Per our protocol, we avoided any light increase before 19 weeks of age.
