Here’s how to do it:

Power off and prepare your electric scooter.
Before you start folding your electric scooter, ensure it is not in use. Folding the electric scooter while it is still moving can be dangerous due to accidental acceleration. So, before you fold it, turn it off by holding down the power button and unplugging it. Also, you may need to retract the kickstand.

Identify and release your electric scooter’s folding latch.
● Your electric scooter will likely have a folding latch adjacent to the steering column’s base. The latch design ensures easy access, and it should have clear markings, such as arrows or other indicators. Refer to your electric scooter’s manual to help you find the folding latch.
● The next step is to release the folding lever or latch. This process will depend on the design of your electric scooter. For instance, you may need to push a button, slide a lever, or even twist a knob to release your e-scooter’s folding latch. Remember to support your scooter’s stem as you activate the button, lever, or notch. Moreover, as you hold the folding latch release mechanism, gently push the scooter’s handlebar assembly towards the deck. Note that some scooters may require you to engage the locking mechanism before they can fold. Also, note that as you fold some scooters, you may hear the handlebar latch clicking into place and firmly locking onto the deck. This ensures the scooter fully folds and becomes compact.

Carry or store your folded electric scooter.
A folded scooter is more portable and allows easier storage. You should carry the electric scooter by the built-in handle or handlebars as you cruise around, or to stow it away in your vehicle or home.
