Offsite construction is an industry being looked at as a possible solution to the affordable housing crisis. Manufactured, Modular and Prefab Homes are getting more attention from people outside the industry in an attempt to make housing affordable because of their ability to adapt in scale. Right now there is a housing shortage and factory built homes can scale up production to help meet the demand, in 1998 there were over 350,000 manufactured homes shipped compared to around 100,000 in 2021 so the industry has lots of room to grow. In this video I look at three important trends that I think we'll see in 2022 that will improve the entire housing market.
