Joe Frost was known for his sweet song on the quinto, the high-pitched solo drum in Afro-Cuban Rumba music. Although this wasn't one of the hottest "Joe Jams", renown throughout the Chicago and Phoenix areas for smokin' hot conga sessions, it's a nice stripped-down Rumba Guaguanco that really showcases Joe's sweet feel for the quinto.

For Joe, it was all about the rhythm. We never played for dancers and rarely had singers. It was always all about the song of the quinto.
