CAPELINHOS Volcano 🇵🇹 Faial Drone Aerial 4K 2023 | Azores Açores Portugal

The Capelinhos is a volcanic mountain range in the ultimate west of the island of Faial in the Azores archipelago of Portugal. Then name Capelinhos is derived from the Portugues word of Capelo+duminutive meaning "Little Hat". In 1958 there was a massive volcanic eruption in Capelinhos with a large lava field. The volcanic eruption destroyed 300 houses on the island of Faial and let to the evacuation of 2,000 people. There is still a lot of seismic activity today.
