The implantation and orientation of the residence were key factors in the design process, maximizing the views and sun exposure. The GF House is located on a large lot in Santa Monica, California, where the sun, warm climate, and ocean are protagonists.

This design is dominated by horizontal lines, reducing the floor plate's depth to provide a unified green area and maximize natural light reach into the rooms. Towards the front, a system of parasols preserves the home's privacy, while the back façade opens up to the park through large glazed panels that lead to the exterior gallery.

The floor plan is divided into two parts by an internal courtyard, sectorizing the public area (living-dining room) and the quincho (BBQ/outdoor kitchen area). This division is also evident in the main entrance (with a vegetation area on the upper floor) and the swimming pool.

The construction materials are concrete and wood, which creates a balance between the contemporary and the cozy.
