Evolution of the Carbine, Storm Rifle and all their variants in Halo Games.

The Covenant Carbine appears for the first time in Halo 2 as an accurate midrange tactical plasma rifle that was missing in the first Halo. The carbine can shoots semi-automatically single shots in rapid times, it's the equivalent of the DMR. It has a 2x holographic zoom located on the 18 rounds magazine storage and shoots solid and accurate plasma projectiles. Optimal for headshots and unshielded enemy on mid distance. The carbine evolves from the Type-51 to Type-57, this one has a more accurate burst, new aggressive design and recharge animation. The Needle Rifle in Halo Reach replaces the Carbine's function mixed with the Needler. Used by Sniper Jackals, Elites and Brutes.

The Plasma Rifle evolves into the Plasma Repeater and the Storm Rifle, these two implements the Plasma Rifle's function into bigger and more efficient weapons. They both shoots direct plasma burst and run on battery, they suffer overheat but the Repeater can continue to shoot slowly during overheating. Used bu Elites and Brutes.

The Pulse Carbine in Halo Infinite appears to be a combination between the Plasma Rifle and the Covenant Carbine, it shoots five direct plasma burst every time and tracks enemies, this shots are accurate but the weapon does not have a zoom like the classic Covenant Carbine. The Pulse Carbine runs on battery and overheats, together with the Plasma Repeater they are the only two plasma rifles that can be cooled down manually in every moment (not considering the Halo Infinite Plasma Pistol). Used by Elites, Brutes and some Jackals.

2012-2015: Type-51 Directed Energy Rifle/Advanced Storm Rifle or Kelos'Vaarda-Pattern Rifle

2021: Erudo'Ma'Keth-Pattern Rifle or Pulse Carbine
