Union Budget 2026 places strong emphasis on building next-generation infrastructure with a major push for high-speed connectivity across India. Reacting to the announcements, Rajya Sabha MP and former diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla said the development of seven high-speed rail corridors and expanded freight corridors will significantly improve regional connectivity and accelerate economic growth.

NITI Aayog CEO B. V. R. Subrahmanyam described Budget 2026 as a “technology and services budget,” highlighting major initiatives in education, healthcare, and the orange economy, alongside continued momentum in manufacturing.

Together, these measures aim to transform mobility, strengthen services, and position India for faster, more inclusive growth.
