कुरुक्षेत्र की रणभूमि जहां करोड़ों योद्धाओं ने धर्म और अधर्म के नाम पर इस महा भयंकर युद्ध में भाग लिया और अपनी जान गवा दी। इस महा विनाशकारी युद्ध को महाभारत के नाम से जाना जाता है। युद्ध लड़ने से पहले श्री कृष्ण ने अर्जुन से कहा था कि हे अर्जुन, इस युद्धभूमि में खड़े इन योद्धाओं को गौर से देख लो ये इस युग के सबसे शक्तिशाली, महान और महा पराक्रमी योद्धा हैं जो इस युद्ध के बाद शायद ही देखने को मिलेंगे और आने वाले युगों में ऐसे महा योद्धा फिर कभी जन्म नही लेंगे।
भगवान श्री कृष्ण की अर्जुन को कही इस बात से ही इस महा भयंकर युद्ध की भयानकता का अंदाजा लगाया जा सकता है।

महाभारत के सबसे भयंकर और महा विनाशकारी युद्ध के 7 ऐसे महायोद्धा जिनको छल से मारा गया था। जिनके कारण स्वयं भगवान श्री कृष्ण को भी युद्ध में अर्जुन के रथ का सारथी बनना पड़ा था। ये योद्धा महा शक्तिशाली और महा पराक्रमी थे जिनको देवता भी परास्त नहीं कर सकते थे। महाभारत युद्ध में इन 7 योद्धाओं को छल से मारा गया था। क्योंकि सीधे सीधे इनको हराना असंभव था।
