The Matching Guys had the opportunity to review ⁨@ButterChickenFactoryTO⁩ a family-owned Indian restaurant in Cabbagetown, Toronto, known for its Delhi butter chicken for over 13 years. We found the butter chicken to be quite sweet. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was pleasant, but the service was significantly lacking. The noisy handling of dishes and the refusal to serve us another Winterlicious menu item were unexpected. The server then argued with us about her oversight in the meal's pacing. This was quite uncomfortable. Initially, we considered returning, but after our experience, we would not recommend the restaurant for its service. However, if you enjoy delicious Indian food, ordering takeout is recommended; the homemade onion bhaji with sweet tamarind coriander chutney and chicken pakora was exceptional. The butter chicken and chicken tikka were also delicious, although the butter chicken was quite sweet. The gulab jamun with ice cream was a highlight—the warm gulab jamun paired well with the cold ice cream. The mango ras malai, however, was disappointing and appeared to be store-bought rather than homemade. Overall, the experience was not ideal, hence the three-shirt rating.
