Suytun ("Center Stone") is a cenote on the outskirts of Valladolid, Yucatan, Mexico. It is one of the most popular photo stops in the area because the cenote is underground in a cave that has a small opening to the surface. In the middle of the cenote is a man-made platform you can walk onto, with the light from the opening creating a spotlight that lights up the platform. The swimming isn't as good as some of the other cenotes I've been to, but its definitely one of the nicer photo opportunities. If you are on a daytrip to Chichen Itza from Playa del Carmen, Cancun, or the Riviera Maya then this is a great spot to stop along the way. Shot in February 2020.
