MC Skibadee needs no introduction. He is a legendary Jungle Drum & Bass MC sweeping up every award and accolade. At this point in 1996 his name was on all the top line ups to Jungle rave flyers and he had now established himself in the MC hall of fame. Skibadee was the known for igniting raves and Jungle party nights like, Jungle Fever, Kool Skool, One Nation and Telepathy that year in 1996.
You can check the channel for more recordings of him. It is very interesting to see the history of this MC and his progression way before all the hype of the SASASAS. Check out Our Skibadee playlist:

In 1996 we saw London and the UK's club scene along with its venues thrive off of the promotion of Jungle events like: Kool Skool '96 @The Powerhouse (Stratford), Club Kool @Lazerdrome, One Nation @Aztec Lounge (formerly Club UN, Tottenham), Desire @Island Music Arena, World Dance @Lydd International Airport, Telepathy @Adrelin Village (Chelsea Bridge, Battersea), Heat 1996 @Hastings Pier, Designer Label Ball @Club UN, Warning 1996 Giants Of Jungle 1 @The Junction (Cliffton Rd, Cambridge), Sunday Roast every Fortnight @SW1 Club. 1996 was a formidable year for Jungle productions where we saw the proliferation of Jungle record labels, producers, record shops, raves and pirate radio stations.

There were many interesting releases coming out in 1996, it was definitely a time when producers had built tracks for MCs to rinse out and go back to back. Despite the growth of the Intelligent Drum & Bass (later dubbed Liquid Drum & Bass) and Jungle Jazz movement, 1996 saw the boom of Jump Up Jungle with the proliferation of many record labels in the lead up. Big up Philly Blunt Records, V Recordings, Joker Records, Congo Natty, Dread Recordings, Dope Dragon Records, True Playaz, Ganja Records, Frontline Records, Ebony Records, Metalheadz, Tearin Vinyl, Urban Takeover, Ram Records, Suburban Base Records, Fresh Kutt Records, Third Eye Records, Flex Records, A-Ko Recordings, Aphrodite Recordings, Back 2 Basics Recordings, Formation Records, Chronic, Collusion Records, Juice Records, Full Cycle Records, Macca Records, Moving Shadow label, No Smoking Records, Proper Talent Records, Renegade Recordings, Riddim Track Records, Strictly Underground Records, 5HQ Recordings, 31 Records, Tech Itch Recordings, Creative Source label, and all the Jungle labels of that era.
