GSM:
Gsm stand for (Gram per squire meter) which identicate the weight in one meter of the fabric. Through this we can measure the over all lot of fabric even if contain the tons of fabric.

Equipment Use in Finding GSM:

GSM Cutter:
The Gsm cutter is small equipment through which we can cut the squire fabric and than scale it to identify that how much weight this fabric have.

Scale:
Scale is the equipment through which we can measure the weight of materials.

Terms of GSM: These terms help us in to understand the GSM formulas.
Count:
The specific weight in one yard of yarn is called count of the yarn.
Contraction:
The warp and weft yarn become contracted after weaving of the fabrics.
Size material:
The materials which is added on the surface of yarns before weaving to facilitate the weaving process.

Formulas of GSM:
GSM CLOTH = GSM of Warp + GSM of Weft
GSM of Warp= (Tax count * EPC (Ends per Centimeter) / 10) * 100 + Wc /100
GSM of Weft= (Tax count * PPC (Ends per Centimeter) / 10) * 100 + Fc /100

EPC = Ends Per Centimeter
PPC = Pics per centimeter
WC = Warp Contraction
Fc = Weft Contraction
