9/29/2000: Homecoming for Springfield. Four interceptions and three fumble recoveries help the Devils shut out the Yellow Jackets. The defense scored twice on those turnovers. DT Rob Huckins picked off a pass and returned it 80 yards for a touchdown behind a key block from Phil Rogacki. 2nd defensive TD came after Ryan Lewis hammered the Perrysburg QB causing an errant throw that was intercepted by Rogacki. Rogacki returned it to the 15 before lateraling it to Marquis Hayes who juked his way into the end zone.

Joey Thees scored the only offensive TD on a 37 yard run. Scott McAfee and Mike Brazzil also had interceptions. Jason Nicholas went over 100 yards rushing. Great all around effort by the defense employing a bend, but don't break strategy. Devils win 20-0.
