Steep access Stump Grinding

Описание к видео Steep access Stump Grinding

The stump grinding part of this job was pretty straight forward.

The stump itself was an old orange tree.

It had been semi uprooted by an excavator while the house was under construction, however the excavator couldn’t get it out completely and had just loosened the stump in the ground.

The tricky part of this job was the access.
Tight corners with a camber which leaned the machine towards the brand new building meant we had to be extra careful.

These corners led to a steep little pinch.
The pinch had plumbing jutting out and also had bumps and cambers, it was not a straight forward climb.

The degree of the slope was at the limit of the machines climbing ability, and you can see the tracks slipping in multiple spots in the video, and the machine track spins, walks sideways towards the plumbing, but then regains traction, and walks over the top.

We opted to back down again after grinding the stump as we knew we could negotiate the corners as we had done so on entry.

It was a fun little test of the machine, and we are super happy with how well the new tracks bite in ground like this.
