Learn how to produce a review movie for an asset (model, look development, or animation) using the AYON Maya.

Steps covered:

Create a Review Publish: Select the camera you want to use, go into the Publisher, and create a "review publish instance". Publishing this will create a review product, including a thumbnail and an MP4 movie with burn-ins, integrated into the AYON server or a production tracking system like ftrack.

Sync Versions: To prevent a review product and another related product (e.g., render) from becoming out of sync, link them so they act as a single product with a single numbered version. Navigate to the Maya Outliner, select the publish set for the desired product, and middle-mouse drag it onto the review set to nest and connect them.

Render Reviews: This linking method also works for the render publish instance, allowing you to produce a rendered review using a farm renderer like Arnold or V-Ray, with synchronized version numbering.

Cleanup: Tools in the AYON can remove intermediate rendered frames, leaving only the reviewables.
