Ren Yixing has made teapots for about 10 years from master Xu Meiping. To learn teapots is a long term work. To make well, it will spend lots of time and experience. It needs our patience, carefulness and talent.
There are four steps to make a finished teapot:
1.Preparation-- instrument preparation, clay preparation, shape preparation.
2.Making. Beat the lump into evenly thick pieces of clay; make the body; make the lid, handle, spout and so on; fine finishing; some are decorated, such as carved, painting.
3.High temperature fired. Different kinds of clay need different degrees temperature.
4.Follow-up work, for example, triming.
