This is how I fixed my relationship with exercise. My relationship with exercise has been up and down. I used to exercise because it felt good, it was a stress release, and it made me happy. But all too soon, I started exercising excessively and compulsively because of my eating disorder. I started skipping social events and other responsibilities to go to the gym. Exercise addiction and eating disorders often go hand in hand. My exercise addiction ruined my life. If you have an exercise addiction and/or an eating disorder, you deserve to get help.
