I've seen many great celestial events, but my #1 all-time is the Total Solar Eclipse! I believe it's the Kin of all Celestial Events! The GOAT.

2024 Total Solar Eclipse with long duration of totality. Shot from Dola, OH, just about 1 mile from the centerline of maximum totality. Timelapse images direct from ZWO Seestar S50 without editing. Solar mode was used with time-lapse images taken every 2s, starting with C1, the point of first contact, when the supermoon 1st started to move in front of the sun.

Solar filter was taken off during totality and minimum exposure time was used at C2 and C3 capturing prominences. Exposure increased midway between C2 and C3 to capture corona.
