Carrie Bradshaw was at the center of Sex and the City, and while she certainly has lots of great qualities, we also got a front row seat to all of her many, many issues and bad choices. In this compilation, we're taking a look back at all of the things that sometimes made it difficult to watch Carrie's story play out on screen (but also why, in the end, we still love her!) First, we're unpacking some of the ways that Carrie's outlook on life, love and friendship was wrong, and the many problems this caused for her and everyone around her. Then we're digging into the idea that Samantha Jones, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York were actually all just parts of Carrie's own psyche, and how they represent how difficult it can be to bring together all of the different parts of yourself. Up next, we're analyzing the Annoying Main Character Trope, of which Carrie is of course an iconic example, and why we love to watch them even when we kind of hate them. And finally, we'll dive into one of Carrie's biggest dilemmas on the show: choosing between Aidan and Big, and the larger implications of this conundrum.
