Wanted to show how I changed over to my own custom nozzle, so I can shoot a more concentrated stream of water as opposed to a scattered spray. This lets me get more distance, and also to put more water on a select target, vs generally soaking down everything.

To do this, I had to get an adapter that crossed over NST threads (fire hose) to NPT threads (common pipe thread). This adapter is not common due to NST threads and had to be special ordered. After that, just a bell nipple to reduce down from 1.5" to 3/4", and a 6" nipple to let the flow smooth out a bit. An even longer nipple would smooth flow that much more.

End goal, be able to deliver a LOT of water on a large fire from at least 50' away. I think I've got it!
