You don't have to. What if you just relentlessly, day in and day out, pursued your spouse for connection, intimacy, and love and accepted it graciously when they could meet you there and just said ok when they couldn't. Wouldn't life be more fun?

Them saying no or not right now doesn't have to mean anything more than that. No, or not right now. They still love you. They still want to connect with you. You are still a priority to them.

Keep pursuing them without the story.
