The Main Event - Santa Pod Raceway - 28th May 2023

On 28th May 2023, I was at Santa Pod Raceway to watch the action at the ‘Main Event’, which is an FIA sanctioned meeting. Therefore there are Nitro burning Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars, as well as Promod classes. So all the top classes of drag racing in one spot!
As well of all this, there were also several jet cars, including side by side runs too.The weather was good with a strong wind from the start line to the finish line which im sure helped many if not all the racers.
The stands and embankment were very busy throughout the day, and this was a qualifying day, not elimination’s . I can only imagine what it was like the next day but sadly I couldn’t attend.
