From Bergen, I catch a flight to Amsterdam, where the bustling energy of Schiphol greets me. Aboard the sleek ICE train, I head to Essen, soaking in the views as we pass through the Netherlands and into Germany.A quick stop in Wuppertal brings a unique experience: riding the famous Schwebebahn, the city's "upside-down" train that feels like floating over the streets. Finally, the journey takes me to Basel, where I wander through the lively Herbstmesse, surrounded by festive lights, seasonal treats, and that distinct autumn chill in the air.
