Good morning from Cog Hill Family Farm! Today, Jason and Miss Holly are thrilled for a bit of much-needed rain after over 40 dry days – even if it slows things down around here! Join us as Jason gives an update on the farm's happenings, like working on Granddaddy's tractor with Brooke, getting the new gas tank on, and prepping for the next step in the restoration.

In between showers, we check on all the animals – from cows Moody, Tater, and Mildred to sweet peaches the pig and the mischievous goats who love the rain! Jason shows how the new feed trough is working out with the cattle.

Over in the garden, the cabbage, broccoli, and collards are flourishing, and Jason’s planting cover crops to benefit the soil, pollinators, and our honeybees. Holly keeps him company as he sows a variety of clovers, peas, and radishes. And to wrap up, we pick the season's first collard greens for supper alongside some cornbread and Brooke’s surprise sweet potato pound cake!
