The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at the intersection of Normandie and W 87th St. Engine 57 arrived on scene to find a carport with several vehicles well involved.

Engine 57 was fire attack with Engine 66 backing them up. Truck 66 took the roof. Firefighters achieved a quick knockdown with no spread to the exposures. Additional companies were requested but quickly canceled. Battalion 13 was 87th St IC.
