Making a spring loaded lathe center for guiding taps

While cleaning up the chaos in my workshop I came across some tapers I turned when I just got a lathe. These are failed Rolingmetal projects from a few years ago. But I think I can still use them to make a spring loaded centre (a.k.a. tap follower) to line up and push in taps for threading on the lathe
