🌟Alyson Rudd is an award-winning sports writer and journalist at The Times. She has been writing about sport for over 30 years and was named SJA Sports Feature Writer of the Year in 2019. Alyson has reported on the world’s biggest sporting events, including the Olympics and appears regularly on The Times’ podcast The Game. She has also written two novels, including her latest, Eleven Lines to Somewhere, published in November 2021. She is also a qualified referee and football coach, and chair of the William Hill Sportsbook of the Year awards.

In the seventh episode of JournoCast, Alyson speaks honestly about her experience as a female journalist in an industry largely dominated by males. She also discusses how journalism has changed in the past three decades, why paid journalism is the way forward and the challenges the industry faces now compared to when she first entered it.
